I have Friday and Saturday left before I head to the airport at dawn on the 31st. I have done very little packing, a lot of shopping, and only two loads of laundry. These two loads essentially encompass all of my clothes for the next two months...
I am suprisingly calm about everything. I'm not very stressed out, not terribly anxious, nor outwardly emotional about impending separations. I feel very ready; far more ready than I thought I would. It's just time to get started. I feel like I have forgotten everything related to nursing in the time since graduation. Don't ask me normal lab values becuase I have no clue. Bet you want me to be your nurse right now!
It's been snowing here at my house for the last few days. When i say at my house, I meant it. My house is at the elevation of the snow level. If you go downhill, there is only rain. It's been amazing. I haven't seen this much snow in Bellevue since we moved here. It doesn't stick for much more than a few hours, but to wake up warm and snuggly, in my nest of pillows, in my cushy bed, and see falling snow makes for a very good way to wake up. I'd put it among my top three favorite ways to wake up.
My SkypeIn number is (425)296-6764. You can call it from anywhere and reach me in Germany as if you are merely calling me in Bellevue. I hope to be hearing from everyone because international rates are no longer an excuse!
